about

"Red Rockets of Borneo are back with "Ham" EP, another 4 tracks of buzzed up bluesy rock.

Who’s To Say kicks off proceedings, the song is like a skidding car careering towards an open gorge and realising at the last minute the breaks don’t work, it has that kind immediate action to it.

Track two Get Down To It has the same fast as fuck punk action sound to it, Jean Philippe Lopez has the perfect amount of sleaze and charm in his vocals that sucks you into the song, and hangs on until the last minute then kicks you out the door while speeding away down the highway towards the next gig.

Ready Made slows the pace down just slightly but still has the same amount of grunt and muscle as the first two tracks, it is the shortest track on the EP clocking in at 1.54, it’s over before you have time to finish your beer and get another refill from the bar.

The last track Be That Noise bangs out the riffs like a bucking bronco rearing to get out of the stable, it has a vicious cool reverb solo in the middle that places it’s foot directly in the crutch of the listener, so you better wear some protection if you ever see these guys live other wise you might leave with some severe injuries.

Red Rockets of Borneo have struck gold again, here’s hoping they have an album soon to satisfy the salivating rock pigs, catch them live or go and buy the EP if you like your rock and roll young and sleazy"
